Caring for Your Sunstone

Sunstone quartz surfaces are engineered for durability, easy maintenance, and long-lasting beauty. Proper care will help maintain the appearance and performance of your surface over time.

The Do’s

​

             For routine cleaning, use a soft cloth or sponge with warm water.
             Clean spills promptly to prevent potential staining.
             For grease or heavier residue, use a mild detergent with warm water, then rinse and dry thoroughly.
             For dried spills or stubborn marks, use a non-abrasive cleaning pad with mild soap or a stone-safe cleaner.
             Sanitize surfaces using a mild disinfectant spray or a 70% isopropyl alcohol solution.
             Use trivets or hot pads when placing hot cookware or heat-generating appliances on the surface.

The Don’ts

             Avoid abrasive cleaners, scouring pads, or bleach-based products.
             Do not use strong chemicals such as drain cleaners, paint removers, or acetone on the surface.
             Avoid cutting directly on the quartz surface; always use a cutting board.
             Do not expose the surface to extreme or prolonged heat or sudden temperature changes.
             Avoid prolonged contact with dyes, inks, or permanent markers that may cause staining.
